God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So, he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come with me.” A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best. Love Lexi (Alexia Bing)
Grandma, Thank you for being the best role model. You taught me how to be strong and fight for what I believe in. Never give up and be the best I can be. Love always, Latoya Bing
Grandma, I recall visiting you one weekend and you allowed me to do flips in the backyard with my uncles. It was a proud moment for me because it was my time to shine and prove I was just as big as them. Well at least in my mind, that’s how the story was going end, but God had a much different ending. I proceeded to flip on the mattress and got the wind knocked out of me. One of my uncles came to get you, and you ran out picked me up with one hand and with the other knocked a life’s worth of air in my miniature frame. Yes, It’s sort of hilarious now, but it carried a much deeper meaning as I reached adulthood. It was a metaphor for what all should do with sincerity. When you see one struggling, give them the hand they need to live a good life…even if it means you have to knock the crap out of them! You’ve breathed life into many. Thanks for the life lesson as it was well received. Rest well in Heaven! Your grandson, Chance D. Richardson (Dion).
When I used to tell my son, “No” my grandma will always tell me I just got one son. Grandma, rest on. I love you always, Tammy Bessant.

Super Hero
Everyone has a Super Hero, but my grandma was mine. She was Wonder Woman, Bionic Woman, our doctor and nurse. She leaps right into action and rescued us. Fly high with wings, our Super Hero. Shelly (Jeanette Hamilton Kilburn)
Your picture should be printed next to the word “GRANDMOTHER” everywhere. You are the epitome of one. Love Tajh and Tevin Laster
Let me just start with “Wonder bread, Hostess cakes and pies, chips, hot dogs, Bologna sandwiches and C&C sodas.” These are all things that take me back to my childhood with you. They will always be cherished memories.
When I was like 12 or 13 years old and started learning about pork and beef, I told you that I don’t eat pork. When you cooked, you’ll let me know and say, “Baby, you don’t want to eat from that pot. It got pork in it” and you would cook my food without pork.
I still have the blue choir robe that you hand made me when I was in the choir at “Jesus My Light.” You kept us in church- day and night. “My God”, I couldn’t wait to leave and by the time it was time to leave, it was too late.
Grandma was well known for her cooking. During the holidays. All you could smell throughout the house was all kinds of cakes, pies, peach cobbler, sweet potato cobbler, banana pudding, and greens. All kinds of food.

Dear Grandma,
You are and truly will be missed.
It’s not easy processing that you are gone. I Wish I could collect call you and you pick up the phone to talk to you for jus 15 minutes and beg you to be waiting on Colonial when I get back home; We would Sit on the front porch and then head into the kitchen to fry some fish; fry some chicken and you reminisce while I listen while 15 kids running through the house, waiting for the good ole Mac and Chees to put in their mouths. We all eat and then we get some of the famous Carmel cake. I don’t know how you did it but always made sure we ate. Grandma, you were a Superwoman to me/us and can never be replaced! We need you back but God wants you home with him. Just watch over us and keep us protected. The great thing is that when we, all, look in the mirror, we going to see your reflection! Live Long, Lillie. Grandma, your legacy forever lives on. Love Tevin Laster
Grandma didn’t play!! But also loved us UNCONDITIONALLY!! When visiting, regardless of the time apart, she always made it feel like no time had passed. We appreciate all the time spent, love given, prayers and sacrifices made.
If Flowers Grow in Heaven by Unknown
If flowers grow in heaven,
Lord, then pick a bunch for me.
Then place them in my grandmother’s arms
And tell her they’re from me.
Tell her that I love and miss her
And when she turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile.
